I’m Moving - Can I Take My Aquavoss AV-1 or AV-2 With Me?Updated a day ago
Relocating your Aquavoss unit is very doable with the right preparation and handling. Whether you’re moving across your backyard or to a new home, this guide will walk you through the key steps to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Overview
Your Aquavoss unit is built with a durable stainless steel frame and designed to be serviceable, which makes moving it a straightforward process when done correctly.
Most customers choose to hire professional movers experienced with hot tubs to make the process easier and safer.
Step 1: Hire the Right Movers
We strongly recommend working with professional hot tub movers in your area.
These teams are equipped to handle:
- Tight access points
- Proper lifting techniques
- Safe transport of large, heavy units
Typical cost: $400–$600 depending on distance and complexity.
Step 2: Remove the Chiller (Cold Plunge Side)
This is the most important step.
- The chiller must be disconnected and removed before transport
- It must always be kept upright during the move
Keeping the chiller upright prevents internal damage and ensures proper operation once reinstalled.
Step 3: Secure the Front Cabinet Panel
When your unit was originally delivered, the front cabinet panel was secured with 4 bolts.
- These bolts are often left out during normal use to allow easy access to filters for maintenance
- For moving, we recommend reinstalling these bolts to secure the panel
If you no longer have the bolts:
- You can temporarily use bolts from the other cabinet panels (which are still fastened) during transport
This helps prevent shifting or damage while the unit is being moved.
Step 4: Prepare the Unit
Before the movers arrive:
- Drain both the hot and cold sides completely
- Disconnect all power
- Remove any loose accessories (filters, covers, etc.)
- Ensure all panels and components are secure
Step 5: After the Move
Once relocated:
- Reinstall the chiller (keeping it upright during setup)
- Reconnect power
- Refill the unit
- Check for any visible leaks or loose fittings before startup
