How Do I Replace AV-8 or AV-2 Hot Side Filter with Water in it?Updated 7 hours ago
Clean your spa filter about once a month and replace it about every 6 months or sooner if water flow has decreased. A clean filter helps maintain proper circulation.
Video guide: How to Replace Spa Filter
Before you begin: Turn the spa circuit breaker off
Step 1: Open the filter housing
Locate the two shut off valves and close them (only if water is in unit). Loosen the air relief knob on top of the filter housing lid, unscrew the retaining ring, and lift the lid up and off.
Step 2: Remove the used filter
Lift the filter out of the housing and clean it with a high-pressure hose or replace it.
Step 3: Install the replacement filter
Lower the new filter into place and make sure it is seated correctly. Do not force it into position.
Step 4: Close the housing
Put the filter housing lid back on, screw the retaining lid down, tighten the air relief plug back in, and open the shut off valves.
Step 5: Restore power and check operation
Turn the spa back on and confirm that water is circulating normally. Check around the filter housing for leaks.
Important: Do not operate the spa without the filter installed. If the lid will not seat correctly or the housing leaks, turn the spa off and contact Aquavoss Support.
