How Do I Replace AV-8 or AV-2 Hot Side Filter?Updated 5 hours ago

Replace your spa filter about once a month, or sooner if it is dirty or water flow has decreased. A clean filter helps maintain proper circulation.

Video guide: How to Replace Spa Filter

Before you begin: Have the correct replacement filter ready. Turn off the spa before opening the filter housing.

Step 1: Open the filter housing

Locate the filter housing shown in the video. Remove its lid. If the lid is tight, use steady pressure and take care not to damage the lid or seal.

Step 2: Remove the used filter

Lift the used filter out of the housing. Check that the filter housing and sealing surface are clean.

Step 3: Install the replacement filter

Lower the new filter into place and make sure it is seated correctly. Do not force it into position.

Step 4: Close the housing

Check that the seal is seated properly, then reinstall the lid and tighten it by hand. Avoid overtightening or cross threading the lid.

Step 5: Restore power and check operation

Turn the spa back on and confirm that water is circulating normally. Check around the filter housing for leaks.

Important: Do not operate the spa without the filter installed. If the lid will not seat correctly or the housing leaks, turn the spa off and contact Aquavoss Support.
