BALBOA VL403 - St / Ec / SL Modes - Not Heating

If your hot tub is in "Sleep (Sl) or Economy Mode (Ec)" it will never reach and maintain the temperature you have set on your keypad.

How do I know if my hot tub is in Economy (Ec) or Sleep mode (SL)?

You’ll know if you’re in a mode other than “Standard” (St) if Ec or SL is flashing in alternate with the temperature on the screen. The control panel does this to remind you that you aren’t in standard mode.

How do I know if my hot tub is in Standard mode (St)?

You’ll know you’re in standard mode (St) if ONLY the temperature is showing on screen and NOT alternating between showing the temperature and anything else.

How to take your tub out of Sleep or Economy mode
